Remote Workplace Policy

1. Purpose

At The Cruise Travellers, our mission is to deliver exceptional corporate, group, and luxury cruise planning services with precision, creativity, and a client-first mindset. This Remote Work Policy outlines expectations, standards, and procedures for employees and contractors working remotely to ensure seamless service delivery, efficient collaboration, and consistent brand excellence.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and affiliates working remotely for The Cruise Travellers, whether full-time, part-time, or on a project basis.

3. Remote Work Expectations

    • Availability:
      Standard business hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PST. Staff should be available during these hours for client communication, internal meetings, and urgent requests unless otherwise agreed.

    • Communication:
      All team communication will occur via designated platforms such as email, Slack, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. Responses to internal messages are expected within 2 business hours during working hours.

    • Client Interaction:
      Client-facing communications must be handled promptly, professionally, and in alignment with The Cruise Travellers’ brand voice: concierge-style, solution-focused, and polished.

4. Work Environment

Remote workspaces must be free from excessive background noise and distractions during client calls and meetings.

Reliable internet, a functioning computer, and access to required software are mandatory.

Employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of client information at all times.

5. Performance & Accountability

Deliverables must meet agreed timelines, mirroring our commitment to detailed cutover-style timelines for smooth execution in all projects.

Work must align with our service standards, including attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and client satisfaction.

Progress will be reviewed through weekly check-ins, project status updates, and client feedback.

6. Tools & Resources

The Cruise Travellers provides access to relevant booking systems, CRM platforms, project management tools, and communication software. Employees are expected to maintain proficiency with these tools and complete any required training.

7. Confidentiality & Data Security

All client and company information must be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and company policies. Use of personal devices for company business is permitted only when devices meet security requirements (password protection, antivirus software, VPN access).

8. Travel for Business Purposes

From time to time, remote staff may be asked to attend cruise ship inspections, travel trade events, or client meetings. Travel will be coordinated in advance and may include reimbursement per company policy.

9. Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains aligned with our corporate objectives and operational best practices.
